About Reighton Sands

Reighton Sands is a Haven holiday park on the North Yorkshire coast between Filey and Bridlington, close to the village of Reighton. The park covers a large sloping site above the sea, so plenty of the caravans and lodges have views out over Filey Bay. Haven describes it as quite hilly, with parts of the park around five minutes' walk from the main facilities.

The park has its own access to the beach, which runs for about five miles north towards Filey. The path down is steep, and Haven says a beach tractor train runs daily in dry weather to save the climb back up. Filey railway station, on the Hull to Scarborough line, is around five miles away by Haven's reckoning.

What's on the park

  • Pools: a heated indoor pool, plus an outdoor pool and lazy river that open in the warmer months, weather permitting.
  • Entertainment: shows every evening, with daytime entertainment added in the busier holiday periods, and a family arcade.
  • Things to do: a nine-hole golf course with North Sea views, archery, footgolf, den building, ranger sessions and an outdoor play area.
  • Food and shopping: the Hawkwood Restaurant, Papa Johns, Cook's Fish & Chips, Bertie's Ice Cream and a supermarket for everyday bits.
  • For owners: Haven lists an owners' lounge, owner-only swim times, free golf for owners, a Wine Club, day trips, quiz nights, and parties to open and close the season.

Around Filey and Bridlington

Filey's promenade and Filey Brigg are just up the coast, and Bridlington is a short drive south for a traditional seaside day. The seabird colonies at Bempton Cliffs are close by, and Haven says you can see the cliffs from the park on a clear day. Scarborough and Flamingo Land are both within reach for a bigger day out, and local walks lead to Hunmanby Gap and Speeton Cliffs.

Swapping and letting at Reighton Sands

If you own a caravan here, you already have what makes a swap work: a holiday home on a park other owners want to visit. List it for free and you can swap weeks with owners elsewhere in the UK, Ireland and Europe, and pay nothing for the holiday. If a swap doesn't line up, you can offer a private let and keep 100% of the rent. Just check your licence agreement and the park's current rules on subletting first.

If you're looking for a stay, message the owner of any home above. You're dealing with a fellow owner who looks after their caravan, not a stranger, and there's no booking fee.

Haven doesn't publish fixed season dates for Reighton Sands, but the season usually runs from around March to the end of October, so check current dates with the owner or the park.
