About Tattershall Lakes
Tattershall Lakes Country Park is an Away Resorts park on Sleaford Road, Tattershall, in the flat Lincolnshire countryside. Away Resorts describes it as a 365-acre park built around a series of lakes, so plenty of the holiday homes and lodges sit close to the water. The village of Tattershall, with its medieval castle, is about a mile away.
This is an inland park, so the draw is the lakes rather than the sea. Away Resorts puts the coast at Skegness around 45 minutes away by car, with the Georgian spa village of Woodhall Spa about ten minutes in the other direction. It's roughly three hours' drive from London and about two from Birmingham.
What's on the park
- Lakes: an inflatable Aqua Park on the waterski lake, wakeboarding, jet ski hire, paddleboarding, kayaks and pedalos, plus well-stocked fishing lakes.
- Pools: an indoor heated pool (swim slots booked in advance), the outdoor Lakeside Lido with a paddling area, and the Aqua Play splash zone for little ones.
- Entertainment: live acts, bingo, outdoor cinema, discos, tribute and quiz nights, and themed event weekends through the year.
- Things to do: high ropes, archery, adventure golf, bike hire, a sports court, an arcade, a gym and the Tranquility Spa.
- Food and drink: the Propeller Bar and Kitchen overlooking the lake, Bar 49 with live music, The Giggling Goose gin bar with a rooftop garden, the Spitfire Bar and Catch 22 takeaway.
Around Tattershall and Woodhall Spa
Tattershall Castle, a National Trust medieval brick tower, is about a mile from the park. Aviation fans can visit the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Visitor Centre at RAF Coningsby, and Thorpe Camp Visitor Centre, about ten minutes away, tells the story of the Dambusters squadron. Woodhall Spa has independent shops and the Kinema in the Woods cinema, and Lincolnshire Wildlife Park, home to a large parrot sanctuary, is about 25 minutes' drive.
Swapping and letting at Tattershall Lakes
If you own a caravan here, you already have what makes a swap work: a holiday home on a park other owners want to visit. List it for free and you can swap weeks with owners elsewhere in the UK, Ireland and Europe, and pay nothing for the holiday. If a swap doesn't line up, you can offer a private let and keep 100% of the rent. Just check your licence agreement and the park's current rules on subletting first.
If you're looking for a stay, message the owner of any home above. You're dealing with a fellow owner who looks after their caravan, not a stranger, and there's no booking fee.
Away Resorts takes bookings at Tattershall Lakes well beyond the summer, including Christmas, but owners' season dates vary — check with the owner or the park.
