About Thorpe Park
Thorpe Park is the Haven park on the coast at Humberston, about two miles south of Cleethorpes town centre. Haven now calls it Cleethorpes Beach, though many owners and visitors still know it by the old name. It is one of Haven's larger parks and mostly flat, with the RSPB Tetney Marshes nature reserve right next door.
Haven says the beach runs along the edge of the park, with five access points straight onto the sand at the Fitties. On a clear day you can see the old Humber forts and Spurn Head across the water. Cleethorpes station, about two miles away, has direct trains via Doncaster, Sheffield and Manchester.
What's on the park
- Pools: a heated indoor pool with a hoist, plus an outdoor lazy river, SplashZone and flume, which Haven opens in the summer months, weather permitting.
- Entertainment: the Marina Bar & Stage for live shows and sport, an outdoor stage in the Adventure Village, the Tiger Club Show and an amusement arcade.
- Things to do: the Adventure Village with Aerial Adventure Max and a climbing wall, a nine-hole golf course and crazy golf, fishing lakes (bring your own rod and licence), archery, kart hire and the NERF Training Camp.
- Food and shopping: a Wetherspoon pub called The Humber Stone, Slim Chickens, Papa Johns, Burger King, Cook's Fish & Chips, Bertie's Ice Cream and a Nisa Local shop.
Around Cleethorpes and North East Lincolnshire
Cleethorpes has a long promenade, a pier and the narrow-gauge Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway, which runs along the seafront towards the Fitties. Grimsby is next door, with the Fishing Heritage Centre telling the story of the trawler fleet. Inland, the Lincolnshire Wolds offer quiet lanes and walks, and Tetney Marshes is good for birdwatching right by the park.
Swapping and letting at Thorpe Park
If you own a caravan here, you already have what makes a swap work: a holiday home on a park other owners want to visit. List it for free and you can swap weeks with owners elsewhere in the UK, Ireland and Europe, and pay nothing for the holiday. If a swap doesn't line up, you can offer a private let and keep 100% of the rent. Just check your licence agreement and the park's current rules on subletting first.
If you're looking for a stay, message the owner of any home above. You're dealing with a fellow owner who looks after their caravan, not a stranger, and there's no booking fee.
The season usually runs from around March to the end of October — check current dates with the owner or the park.

Questions about Thorpe Park
Can I swap my caravan at Thorpe Park for a holiday somewhere else?
Yes. List your Thorpe Park caravan or lodge for free, then message other owners across the UK, Ireland and Europe to arrange a swap. You agree the dates and details directly with each other.
Can I find a private let at Thorpe Park from an owner?
Some owners at Thorpe Park offer private lets as well as swaps. Message the owner directly to ask about dates and price. We don't take any commission.
Does Thorpe Park have direct beach access?
Yes. Haven says the beach runs along the edge of the park with five access points, so the sand at the Fitties is only steps away. It's a wide, flat beach looking out over the Humber estuary.
Are dogs allowed at Thorpe Park?
Haven says dogs are welcome in the outdoor areas, and there is a dog obstacle course called the Bark Yard. Haven also describes Fitties Beach as dog-friendly all year. Owners set their own rules for their own caravan, so check with the owner before you bring a dog.
Can I let my Thorpe Park caravan out privately?
Many owners do, but every park has its own rules on subletting. Check your licence agreement and the park's current rules before you advertise a private let.
